Iluminada González Agudo (Almería, Spain, 1995) is a visual artist and PhD candidate in Visual Arts and Education at the University of Granada. Her artistic practice operates at the intersection of photography, video essays, experimental montage, and AI-generated imagery, exploring themes such as memory, visual culture, simulation, collective imaginaries, and the construction of truth through images.
Working from an arts-based research perspective, her projects investigate the relationship between visual representation, critical theory, media culture, and contemporary forms of subjectivity. Through speculative narratives, fictional archives, and hybrid audiovisual formats, she examines how images shape personal and collective understandings of reality.
